On Line Deliveries

You can get groceries delivered by most major supermarkets. Villagers also use Milk and More for doorstep deliveries of milk, groceries and bulky garden items on a Monday Wednesday and Friday.

Delivery drivers dont always get orders to the right place in the village and a post on the Village WhatsApp Group will usually track down a lost parcel.

Fresh Bread – Rise and Flour

An independent sour dough artisan bakery and cafe based in the Elms, Shipton Rd, Milton under Wychwood. Bread sales, carry out food and sit in options available Tuesdays to Sundays until 3pm. There are also regular carry out pizza evenings

Bruern Farm Shop and Cafe

Bruern Farm shop and cafe are an easy walk or drive from the village. You can also order veg boxes.

Bledington Community Shop and Cafe

This shop stocks a wide range of fresh and pantry groceries, meat, alcohol and sources most of its vegetables locally. The cafe offers soup, savouries and sweet options. It also sells cards and a limited range of gifts.

Supermarkets

You can order online, else all supermarkets are a drive or bus ride away.

Milton Under Wychwood has a mini Co-Op and a mile down the road in Shipton Under Wychwood is St Michael’s Store which also has a post office.

A bit farther afield there is large Co-Op in Bourton on the Water, a Tesco at Stow on the Wold, Aldi just before Moreton in the Marsh and a BP Garage selling M and S food on the main A424 this side of Stow.

Witney – 12 Miles

A delightful market town which has a range of independent shops and is well served with Waitrose, Sainsbury Marks and Spencer and Lidl. Witney Farmer’s Market takes place on the 4th Friday of the month in the Market Place from 8.30am to 1.30pm and there is a general market weekly Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Chipping Norton– 8 miles

“Chippy” is a market town with M&S Simply Food, a large Co-Op and an Aldi. The Chipping Norton Market comes to town on a Wednesday. On the third Saturday of every month, there is a farmers’ market in the town centre from 8.30am-1.30pm showcasing local produce from the area.

Carterton– 9 miles

This is the town serving Brize Norton base and it has very large Asda and Morrisons stores, and an Aldi.

Stow on the Wold- 6 miles

Stow is a very pretty town with a Tesco and lots of independent shops. Between Stow and Moreton in Marsh is a modern Aldi, so you can shop at one and top up at the other.

DIY Stores

Alfred Groves is the nearest DIY at Milton Under Wychwood, it is open Monday- Saturday and for short hours on Sundays.

Bence Building Supplies, Toolstation, Travis Perkins and Screw Fix are all found at Bourton on the Water. There is a B and Q at Witney
